One of the frequent complaints about the Virpil collective system is the lack of fluid motion due to friction caused by the anti-gravity tensioning system. This counterweight allows you to run a very loose friction setting and offset the weight of your heavy grip assembly. It attaches with stainless (4) M4 machine screws and includes 2 1/2 pounds of ballast.
